Start with Bookster todayThis month's release focuses on tightening up the booking management experience for complex properties. Multi-unit bookings now correctly synchronise their balance due dates and email reminder settings, so guests receive timely, consistent communications regardless of how the booking was created or modified.
Multi-Unit Bookings - Balance Reminder Sync
When a booking is split across multiple units, Bookster now ensures that the balance due date and email reminder settings are kept in sync across all related sub-bookings. Previously, changes made to one part of a multi-unit booking might not propagate correctly, leading to inconsistent reminder behaviour.
This fix ensures that balance reminder emails go out reliably and on time for all guests, regardless of how their booking is structured.
Payment Search by Parent Reference
You can now search for payments using either the unit booking reference or the parent booking reference. This makes it much easier to track down transactions for guests who have a multi-unit or umbrella booking, without needing to know the exact sub-booking reference. An improvement to the underlying search logic also allows results to be matched across multiple fields simultaneously, speeding up lookups across large booking histories.
Authenticated Length-of-Stay Price Query
A new authenticated API endpoint allows length-of-stay pricing to be queried directly. This supports more flexible integrations where pricing needs to be retrieved securely, rather than through the public-facing pricing calls. Operational notes from a parent booking are now also surfaced on related sub-bookings, giving your team better visibility when managing grouped reservations.
Changeover iCal Feeds: Use Admin Name
Bookster supports an iCal Changeover Feed that can be used by changeover staff to monitor property arrivals and departures.
A new option allows the internal Admin Name of a property to be used on an iCal feed for changeovers rather than the default property name.
This is useful where multiple calendars are being managed by a changeover team member and a clearer label helps distinguish feeds at a glance in your calendar.
Instant Websites: WhatsApp Link
Bookster now supports a WhatsApp link on Instant Websites.
The link enables Guests to fire up WhatsApp to communicate with the host from an Instant Website.
Minor Updates and Bug Fixes
- Booking.com / Channels: Bookster now attempts to detect duplicate hotel IDs when establishing a Booking.com connection, helping to prevent misconfigured channel links from going unnoticed.
- Bookings: Fixed an issue where the check for whether balance emails had already been sent could return an incorrect result in certain edge cases.
