Smarter multi-unit management, Dynamic Pricing, and upgraded Analytics
No contracts. No setup fees. Top rated customer support.
Start with Bookster todayFebruary brought major improvements to multi-unit booking management, giving property managers much greater control over complex cross-unit reservations.
We've upgraded Analytics to Apex Charts for better performance and interactivity and made a range of improvements to our Booking.com integration.
As always, a selection of smaller improvements and bug fixes rounds things out.
Multi-Unit Bookings
This period saw the most substantial set of changes to multi-unit booking handling in some time, improving both the booking view and the underlying channel integrations.
The booking view for multi-unit properties now starts with each unit collapsed so the view is easier to scan. The total cost is shown in each unit's header, and sub-booking costs are visible at a glance.
- Sub-bookings can now have their state transitioned independently, and dates can be changed on individual sub-bookings without affecting the rest of the booking.
- You can now add a new booking directly to an existing multi-unit booking without starting from scratch.
- Price adjustments can now be applied to the parent booking on a multi-unit reservation.
- Moving a unit to a different property within a multi-unit booking (relocation) has been fixed and improved.
- Searching for repeat bookings on multi-unit properties has been made more reliable.
- Multi-unit grouping can now be restricted to a single location.
- Damage deposit handling works correctly with multi-unit bookings.
- The timeline view now shows occupancy percentage.
Airbnb ⇄ Bookster
Multi-unit bookings imported from Airbnb are now correctly marked as paid, and the external reference is applied to the sub-bookings rather than only the parent.
SuperControl Import
A new SuperControl import format is now supported, covering the CSV format.
Dynamic Pricing
The Dynamic Pricing UI has been updated based on observing users interact with the rate increase/decrease controls, making the flow clearer and more intuitive.
Analytics
Most of the booking analytics charts have been upgraded from Google Charts to Apex Charts. This brings improved responsiveness, the ability to download charts directly from the screen, and noticeably cleaner pie chart rendering.
Booking.com ⇄ Bookster
- Added a hotel ID mapping system to handle cases where Booking.com hotel records are merged.
- Improved cross-checking and import logic for multi-unit properties, with better comparison of subunit listing and reservation references.
- Room occupancy details are now tracked at a finer-grained level.
- Support added for transitional external references during imports, helping with edge cases during channel sync.
Minor Updates and Bug Fixes
Data Exports
The Admin Reference is now included at the end of the booking export spreadsheet. The Import Reference has been added to the Entries export.
Arrivals & Departures Report
The arrivals/departures report has been given a style refresh. Sub-bookings can now be marked as prepared or unprepared directly from the report.
Instant Websites
A TikTok icon has been added to the social links section so you can link through to a TikTok profile.
UI updates and bug fixes
Calendar date selection on iPhone has been improved. Breadcrumb styling has been tidied up. Email Marketing has been removed from the top navigation on mobile, where it was not practical to use. Booking screens have been updated to remove remaining Bootstrap 2 dependencies.
