Booking.com ⇄ Bookster

As part of a longer term project... more of which to come soon... we have modernised much of our Booking.com integration.

This includes:

  • A broad reimplementation of the pushing of availability and related API calls
  • A switch to a newer version of the Length of Stay (LoS) Booking.com API

Minor Updates and Bug Fixes

Vrbo ⇄ Bookster

  • Improve the representation of studio bedroom properties
  • Fix a problem where Bookster occasionally used 1970 as a fall back date in availability

Bookster

  • We made some improvements to the Add Ons pages - reducing clutter and tidying up the language
  • We improved how promo codes are displayed in various places

Rentals United ⇄ Bookster

We now play nicer by rate limiting the reservations call differently if a specific reservation ID is supplied.

Podcasts

We now show transcripts of our podcasts on our website by adding the ability to parse a VTT formatted transcript and format in HTML.

Channel Manager

  • We no longer allow someone to offset commission to be more than 100% as it makes no sense to do that
  • Improved the view of Channel Operators when they log into Bookster.  We now show only link to the preview as the Channel Operator generally has very little permissions to view anything inside Bookster.

Booking.com ⇄ Bookster

  • Match up with the Booking.com documentation by making the room square meterage an integer
  • Bookster no longer generates invalid availability dates when there is more than two years of availability on a property connected to Booking.com

Minor Bug Fixes

  • Avoid void elements for ng-transclude
  • Attempt to fix positioning issues
  • Direct Booking: avoid logging errors when we don't have a booking sub.
  • Bookster Websites: avoid session issues with processing Google Analytics
