And what makes you different? We are a 5 star bespoke individual venture who rely on our own marketing and that of VisitScotland to appeal to our customers. We do not use OTAs in any form and take care of our guests personally at every stage. This includes a courtesy WhatsApp message on arrival to providing customised high quality welcome packs of local produce to making sure the property is spotlessly clean ourselves. We do not employ third party cleaners and provide personal contact details for guests throughout their stay. 3. How long have you worked with Bookster? We have worked with Bookster since we started in Spring 2022. 4. What did The Georgian Apartment need when you were getting started? When we started we needed a live calendar to embed in our own website that was intuitive and simple to operate and set different rates for different times of the year. We also needed guidance on pricing structure, communication emails with clients, special weekend rates etc. which Bookster were very helpful with. 5. What features of our product have helped The ease of booking and excellent communication setup and payment structure has been a massive help and I’m sure has enabled guests to book with confidence. We supply feedback forms and have only ever received compliment scores on ease of booking. 6. What have you been most impressed with? We’ve been most impressed with how simple it is to navigate the Bookster site and make changes to our charging structure and information provided to guests etc. Not being from IT backgrounds this is essential. 7. So what’s next for The Georgian Apartment? We aim to continue to provide our guests with a taste of Georgian luxury in Scotland’s capital. We are a small enterprise and by staying small we think we can truly offer something unique. However I’m afraid to say that Edinburgh City Council have refused us - and many others - planning permission, which means as things stand we had to close on September 30th this year. We blocked off our calendar from this date and will not be able to return to business unless there is a remarkable turn around in current legislation.
