What is this "availability calendar sharing" that everyone is talking about?

Bookster provides the ability to share your holiday rental availability so that other websites and applications know if your holiday rental is available to book... but why is that useful?

Advertising portals

It is tough getting prospective guests to your website.

The big advertising portals are out there with more time and resources than you will ever have, so the temptation to publish your holiday rentals on to an advertsing portal can be overwhelming.

calendar sharing

But you will still be taking bookings on your own website, over the phone or via email... how can you tell the portal that you have booked out those dates?

The answer?

Many of the large advertising portals will read your availability using something "iCal"... and Bookster automatically produces an iCal for you to give them.

How would this be set this up?

The process is as follows:

  1. log into the portal site
  2. set up your prices
  3. paste in the property Bookster iCal URL
  4. sit back and wait for the bookings
