Things are moving at a swift pace as we pull all of the elements of Bookster together in time for a launch in Spring. Core Booking Platform UpdatesIn order to support the functions we want to start Bookster with, we have needed to update our core booking platform to support a number of new features. Some examples of this are:
Payment GatewayBookster needs to be able to take payments! Credit card payments will need to be taken for:
We can now take payments for both of these purposes. Rates AdministratorAs I have mentioned before, Gerome has produced a fantastic rates adminstrator for Bookster users - we will look to improve it further before we launch but it is shaping up wonderfully. Users will simply select the rate they want and then apply it to a date range. New Bookster Admin AreaWe have many login areas for users in our other products, but are going to use Bookster as our first step in designing a basic login area that can be used throughout our products - ambitious but hopefully a massive leap forward. This has required some big technical leaps (which Colin has made with his usual ease) such as a unified user system, a new permissions structure and many other "under-the-hood" things that average users should not notice but make Bookster possible.
